The amount of new characters to discover and befriend is insane – over 350! That’s more friends than I have in real life. And each one has their own unique look, personality, and Soultimate Move. How cool is that? It’s like having my own little posse of supernatural beings.
I was a bit hesitant about the battle aspect of the game at first, but oh boy, was I wrong. Assembling my team of 6 Yo-kai on my Yo-kai Watch and taking on troublemaking spirits has been a blast! Not only do we get to solve people’s problems (which feels pretty satisfying), but we also get to put an end to a civil war between competing factions of Yo-kai. Talk about being a peacemaker!
One of my favorite features of this game is the touchscreen-based battle actions. It makes initiating powerful Soultimate Moves, purifying inspirited Yo-kai, and healing my team so much easier and more interactive. Plus, the new action-based local multiplayer mode is a total game-changer. Teaming up with up to 4 players has added a whole new level of excitement to the game. And if that’s not enough, you can also challenge your friends online or through local wireless in 2-player battles. Who knew ghosts could be so competitive?

I’ve been playing YO-KAI WATCH 2 Psychic Specters on my Nintendo 3DS and I have to say, this game is jam-packed with content! It has all the features from both Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, so you’re getting double the fun. Plus, there are 12 new quests, including one that delves into the origins of Darknyan. As someone who loves a good mystery, this was right up my alley. And let’s not forget about the chance to befriend 15 Wicked Yo-kai…who knew they could be such great allies? Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with this game and can’t wait to see what other surprises it has in store for me.
