Meet Juliet
Hello! I’m Juliet Bunch, the voice behind Slime London — and I’m thrilled you’re here. A few years ago I made a shift in my career that’s brought me to this point, and I want to share a bit about my path so you know where this blog is coming from. I grew up in the outskirts of London and ended up studying Product Design at university, fascinated by how everyday items are made, how they perform — and how they feel in real-life use.
After graduating, I worked for several years in the retail-design world, helping a British lifestyle brand bring new home-goods collections to market. Those years taught me not just about manufacturing and materials, but also about what real people expect: durability, value, and the kind of quality you can trust.

As much as I loved product design, over time I noticed how many helpful tools, gadgets and home-items on the shelves promised the moon but didn’t always deliver. I began writing short reviews for friends and family—“this one lasted three months” or “this one is too loud in practice”—and realised how much fun I had doing it. In 2025 I decided to make it official: I launched Slime London with the goal of sharing honest reviews, testing real-world usage and helping you make better buying decisions without the fluff.
Why Slime London?
You may wonder: why pick a name like “Slime London” for a product-review blog? Here’s the back-story. Before I turned to product reviews, the domain had modest roots in a local London creative-project focusing on compact living and minimalist interiors. I felt the name captured the idea of “slimming down” complexity—curating the best, simplest, most effective items for modern living. So when I reimagined the website’s purpose I kept the name as a nod to that heritage. The idea now is that we help you cut through the clutter of choices and zero in on what truly works.
What I Do Here
On this blog you’ll find honest, hands-on reviews of products across a variety of categories—home tech, kitchen essentials, lifestyle gear and more. My approach is simple: I pick a product, use it for long enough (weeks, often months), note both the good and the bad, and then write up my findings in plain language. I avoid the jargon, but I don’t sugar-coat either. When something really excels, I’ll say it. When it falls short, I’ll say that too.
Beyond reviews, you’ll often see a “real-life” angle: how the item fits into a busy lifestyle living in and around London, how it performs in smaller homes or shared flats, and what trade-offs might matter for someone like me (or like you). My hope is that this blog isn’t just about selling products, but about helping you buy smarter—so you spend your money once and get something that lasts.
My Lifestyle & What That Means for You
I live in a two-bed flat in North London with my cat, Milo, who is utterly indifferent but a fine co-tester of flat-friendly gear (low noise vacuums get extra brownie points). On weekends, I’m either exploring local design-markets, checking out new minimalist home stores, or simply reading by the canal with a strong cup of tea. I believe that good design and good value should go hand-in-hand—and that everyday items don’t have to feel ordinary.
Because I juggle a busy schedule (hello, design-meetings and blog post deadlines) I have little patience for products that promise grand things but can’t deliver in real life. That’s what drives me in this blog: authenticity, practicality, and value. If a product lasts one week, fails one test, or just feels “meh” to use, I’ll share that. If a product surprises me, saves me time or genuinely improves my day-to-day, I’ll highlight that too.
Thank You & What’s Ahead
Thank you for being here and trusting me to help guide you through the sea of choices. My promise is to keep things transparent, clear and useful. As we move forward, I’ll be expanding into more categories, doing comparison tests, and exploring both budget and premium items — always with you, the everyday user, in mind.
If you ever want to ask about a product I haven’t reviewed yet, drop me a line. I’m always listening, always testing, and always looking for what actually makes life simpler — without the gimmicks.
Here’s to better buying, fewer regrets – and equipment that actually stands up to everyday life.
Warmly,
Juliet Bunch
